question: how do i updates the maps for my 2003 x5 navigation?

hi all
how do i update the maps in my 2003 bmw x5 4.6is? it has a 2002-03 dvd disc in right now...just want to update it to 2010.
do i need to buy a new DVD?

Yes, you should buy the updated DVD disc with the updated maps.

I just bought the East west Mpas not gonna use the west. Although the split is on state away kinda sucks

We use a Garmin in one of our other vehicles and it's light years ahead of OEM nav...i once considered putting it in the X instead of updating the DVD.

Every time i see this advert i can't help but think of the nav in our X5:

seriously, right? why they can't make a navigation that can be similar to Lexus or something like that..... touch screen... display all the icon and POI on the map... some times European cars just way too slow on those kind of stuff.
