When you get that low in pad thickness, heat tend to crystalize the pads much faster. You might get serveral weeks to maybe several months of use from the pads depending how you drive.
In states were there is mandatory yearly vehicle safety inspections, 2/32 is an automatic vehicle failure. I do know this as fact, my auto repair business was an autohorized vehicle inspection station in Saint Louis.
