Electrical system reset procedure

I remember there's a procedure for re-setting the car's electrical system after the battery has been disconnected, but I don't remember exactly how it goes. I know it involves turning the steering wheel from one lock to the other, but I don't remember which position the key is supposed to be in while doing this. Could somebody please reply with the correct procedure, and I'll bookmark it this time. I did it when I replaced the battery last summer, and the electrical system came back to life with no issues of any kind. Thanks.

Thanks; that's what I thought, as turning the steering without the engine (and therefore the power steering pump) running would be quite a chore on this car. I was getting confused by a recommendation I read that said it's a good idea to pause the key in the accessory position before turning it all the way to start the engine.

So you just start the engine with the steering wheel at the centre, full turn to lock one way and then the other way to lock ? That it ?
