antifreeze green color in my x5!,need to fill,but..

i notice that my bmw x5 01 4.4l has green color antifreeze,
and is just a little low ,
now i know that normally should be orange color?
but is green color, the suv has 160k miles,

can someone give me some advice what should i do ,
fill with some green antifreeze,or maybe unplug the plug at the radiator and take all out and put the zerex from kragen in it? (orange color)

if not with green antifreeze may work in it,
i have look it into autozone website and they have all this brands for my suv
and it looks like they list both colors...

hmm, confused,i got the suv like this with the green color, never changed the fluid,(got it at about 150k)

thank you for any advice.

I am almost 100% positive the last antifreeze I bought from a BMW dealer was green/blue in color.

G48 is what you seek.

Saab is also a lesser expensive source for the G48 antifreeze.
In a pinch, you can pick up Valvoline Zerez G50 which is fine...

Lots of others have use the Preston Hi Mielage Multi ATF with success...but I'd stick with the G48 and in a pinch, pick up the Valvoline.

Yes, at the dealership...
actually G50 is amber

orange is dex, but tint of antifreeze can be any color that the manuf decides to tint.....

How low are you. depending on locale, you can always just top it off with distilled water.

just a little low not much,
i called the dealer and they said 20$ for 1gal ,and i have to add 50% water

what i will do just unplug the plug at the bottom of the radiator and ,the guy at the dealer said 90% will come out ,,and then refill with the one from the dealer, and after fill up the rest with water, and i should be fine,

so i guess will just add the original stuff,to make sure my engine will have more life.

thank you.

Good idea. Just use what the dealer sells you and you don't have to worry about anything, including color. Also, use ditstilled water for the 50% mix. You can get it from any grocery store.
