Window gremlin

When rolling up the front passenger window, after the window hits the top....it reverses and rolls down about 2 inches...then stops. Sometimes it can take as many as 3-4 times before the window stays in the fully closed position.

Any idea of the problem/remedy?

Might be the safety strip at the top of the window channel malfunctioning and thinking there is something in the way when in fact it's just the window itself, then it drops the window a bit. I haven't had to troubleshoot an issue with mine yet so...I wouldn't know where to start. But perhaps disconnect the sensor to see if it the window stays up in one shot? I think the wiring is in the door tweeter sail.
