20" snows are on.......
I have pics but I left the camera at home, will post later. I have Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snows 275/40/20 mounted on 4 front 20x9.5 Style 87's with the 30mm spacer on the rear. Driving impressions so far (200 miles)are a very smooth ride, slightly more compliant than the stock Diamaris. Very quiet, no noise or hum even at sustained freeway speeds of 80-100mph. Cornering speeds have been reduced slightly as to be expected but still extremely acceptable.
We are expecting 3-5 inches of snow this evening into tuesday, so I should be able to give some snow impressions tomorrow. They clean the roads so quickly that it will be difficult to go out in unplowed conditions since it will be overnight. The main reason for me to go with 20"ers is because I don't drive in deep unplowed conditions and I don't need to reduce my truck to miniscule 18"s that look rediculous and hamper my swift driving style. I believe I am also the only one on the board to have them!!! The Pirelli's are still dedicated snow tires and I am expecting them to work perfect for what I need them for. I do still have my 18's with Dunlop WinterSports incase we have the worst winter in the history of the world. Pics and more impressions to come
