X5 E53 Sat Help

Help i have an X5 E53 early 2001 model i have upgraded the sat nav system to V32 which went fine then put in the CD key as its a MK111
all went fine until i loaded the new map CD it came up as trying to upgrade the system again but did nothing for ages so tryed to remove the disc but it will not eject.the display system now works fine but i have completly lost the navigation icon and all navigation functions can anyone help thanks in advance Mark

My nav has shown some strange behaviour too. Did a lot of research, software upgrades etc. but nothing ever worked. The nav menu was missing from the display, and the cd unit itself kept spitting the discs back out at me even though it's light seemed to indicate it was working.

Anyway all the research lead me to the conclusion that the cd unit was faulty. I haven't replaced it because they're so expensive. I just use a Garmin suction cupped to the windscreen.
