Cleaned the engine bay, decided I'll be changing all the cooling hoses, WP, stat, belts and tensioners... hoping it can wait till spring.

First time posting in this thread. Couple weeks ago I changed rear diff fluid and put magnetic drain plugs from goldplug.com High quality stuff, also installed one when I changed my oil around the same time. Planning on changing from diff fluid and transfer case fluid soon (already got the magnetic plugs for those as well).

Installed an AVIN Avant head unit in my X! Check this thread out for photos.

I successfully retrofitted PDC on my '01 3.0i. The car was already equipped fairly heavily with options so wiring was already in place. I purchased all necessary electronic parts from ebay, trim/mounts from Tischer and cut out pre-marked bumper openings. No coding required! Was a fun winter garage project.

Nice work! I wouldn't be without PDC, enjoy.

Thanks man! I have an X6 and after driving that and being used to the PDC, I jump in the X5 and sometimes "forget" about neighbors fence when backing out of garage. Haven't hit it yet but proactively installed PDC to avoid that!. Next will be comfort seats; if I can find a set in sand beige.

how much of pre-wiring was there already, if you don't mind?
