Replaced the rear subframe bushings. Not to bad with the correct tool. Only problem was I cross threaded one of the long bushing bolts. After much filing, grinding and penetrating oil and a large breaker bar I was able to get the bolts installed. Hopefully last time I have to remove those. I drives much better now.

I believe that I have acquired the last skid plate available from the dealers today. I placed an order for one through Tischer (getbmwparts.com) 2 weeks ago and they got back to me informing me that they aren't available anymore. I browsed through some of the other sites that I remembered seeing them at and they weren't available on them either. Well Ricky Bobby and I were chattin and he talked to his local dealer who did a nationwide parts search and came up with one left in the whole country. So if you were planning to buy one I'd suggest contacting the place first before ordering if they still have them on their store, because like getbmwparts they may not have updated the store.

Dan is correct, unless you are looking through a parts store that already has a spoiler, there should be no more left in the country. My local dealer scoured the parts inventory in the country, found one in stock at BMW of Newport RI. I forwarded info to Dan, and he ordered. My local dealer confirmed the part is discontinued and no longer available from BMW North America.

I'll either try to get a used one down the line or do a 4.6is front/rear, although I am not usually a fan of "performance model" body kits on a non performance model 3.0 engine. A big reason why the oem skid plate spoiler is perfect for 3.0 guys. Enjoy Dan, I want pics when it's on your truck!

That was one of my reasons for wanting a skid plate over an iS spoiler too (and the price haha). But an iS spoiler is just an OEM+ mod for a lower model, there's nothing wrong with doing that. I don't take it as being a wanna-be mod, it's just improving the appearance with the best quality out there (OEM>some aftermarket crap). There's no argument that the iS models look best. As long as there's no deceiving badges on there then all's good

I'll definitely update with pics when it comes in... Probably going to rock it plastidipped for a little until I can paint it (color matched with Black Sapphire)

Maybe you can convince Cisc0 to let his go before his X sells

Yeah I'd def get the iS spoilers from Latvia if I came down to it, but with those I feel you have to do both front and rear, whereas the skid plate looks good just on its own, no rear needed.

Ill have to put up a WTB thread for it lol! I would think anyone who has one would keep it though since you have to drill mounting holes in the front bumper for the top portion.

How the rear end looks now.

I need to get some chromed exhaust tips. So future plan for the X is:
- Tint windows, exhaust tips, "stealth" signal bulbs
- Replace the OEM 4:3 NAV (with Dynavin maybe) and upgraded speakers
- New shocks and springs (Bilstein and B&G) and suspension components
- OEM Running board

All that need to be approved by "the boss" since it's hers.

Your rear looks great! What an awesome way to paint the rear bumper to give it an accent, I love it!

Did you decide to do the extra paintwork since you were repairing the bumper anyway?

I don't think I've ever seen that done before....I like It! A set of 4-8 tips would really set that lower portion off!
