A quick question (CV joint related)
Does this CV joint look "dried out"? I'm unsure how long ago it tore and i've been driving through salted slush and snow for the past few weeks....
![]() The dealer can't get me in until early next week. I need to drive this car about 200 miles this week. What can I do to ensure that the CV joint doesn't dry out (if it isn't already)?

Pack it with loads of grease till it gets done. Don't worry about over doin it cos most will come out anyway, but it'll help keep the shite out till its sorted.

Best get the stuff specifically for d/shafts wanna try and avoid doin anymore damage and it'll have a higher melting point. Though I suppose anything will be better than nothing.
