How do you replace PDC?

One of my PDC sensors is acting up--how difficult is this to change? its on the front bumper. Anyone change it before? I really hope i dont have to take off the bumper

for the pdc on the sides, you don't need to take bumper cover off. just pry it out. iirc, there is a small notch on the top edge that you can use a flat head screw driver to pry it out.

I have the same sensor acting up. According to realoem, this sensor is the L-shaped one.
Let me know how it goes, as I was anticipating taking the bumper off......

I was having the same problem and just finished replacing one of my PDC, right front. I try to ply it out but there is no way to do it, not on a 2005 X5. I had to take the whole bumper off. Everything seem to work, but I am still getting the beep and flashing light. Anybody know if I have to reset something?

Thanks for the pic! Gives me a better idea of what I'm in for.

How did you ascertain it was the sensor you replaced?
Was the bumper trim a two person job to get back on?

looks like face-lifted one is different.

are you sure the one you replaced is the faulty one? or maybe you have more than one gone bad? check this post http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...r-failure.html and find out if you have another faulty pdc sensor.
