What Dinan upgrades have you made and what was most noticeable?

As the title reads, I'd like to hear personal experience from guys/gays on the forum that have done upgrades to their 4.4, 4.6, 4.8 in hopes of narrowing my wish list. Everything from chips upgrades to bolt-ons and custom stuff. I've got a 4.6is and so far the only thing I've done is cut out the silencer and install an X-pipe. I'm also curious to know if anyone has done any massive weight reduction on their X and how much it's dropped also. Things like Air ride delete, if it's possible, internal parts upgrades, ram air induction etc. There is so much knowledge on this site from guys that know so much more then I do, this thread could really be a great source for the modder with spring fever like me.

It's not Dinan stuff, but F/R 4.44 diff gears and 500rpm higher stall TC would be good bang for the buck.

Explain a little more what the result is and where one would go about getting the parts you're talking about.

End result is making better use of the powerband.

4.44 Front and Rear Diff gears (open front, limited slip rear IMHO)

500rpm TC stall increase

no worries sir.

I could be wrong, but I believe that the gears and raised stall would get you through the 1/4mile quicker than all of the Dinan parts in the catalog, save for the S/C.

Anywho... here's a couple pages I have bookmarked that you might be interested in.

Or we could just sell our dinosaurs and get X5M's. lol

I'm currently looking into what all it's going to take to do this job. It'll be a summer project once I have my M3 on the road again. I can't wait to work on this project some more.
