Sport

The quickest way to sport it up is to go with larger OEM style wheels and shadowline trim around the windows. You don't have to spend big bucks for a complete trim kit. A good window tint shop/guy should be able to put black vinyl over the chrome and make it look factory; it would be durable and inexpensive ....and it would be reversable if you decide to change it back later.

Nice truck.

Welcome!

mD,

I have no use for Nav, I have iPhone, iPad, etc...... I just want to tap into the DSP and add an iPod input (I know there are options out there from companies).

The good news of the night is that I figured out the symptom:

and a VERY touchy throttle that seems to apply lots of power taking off at the slightest tap of the throttle, and occasional surges when driving."]and a VERY touchy throttle that seems to apply lots of power taking off at the slightest tap of the throttle, and occasional surges when driving.
It turns out this truck has a new throttle body and the guy that installed it didn't tighten down the intake tube clamp on the throttle body. I had air going in that wasn't registering on the maf. I knew that symptom and was going to just blame the maf following a hose inspection and that's when I found the loose clamp. Smooth as butta now.

Just gotta figure out the dead pass door thing now. (that isn't dead because I can operate the window from the pass side) I mainly want to know if the door latch and lock are tied into the mirror power. I need diagrams. I'm an EE and have owned car audio stores. If I can figure out where to get some schematics I can help with a lot of stuff that people are buying new or rebuilt by doing DIY's on how to.

Nice truck.

Welcome!
Thanks. I'm ok with a little sport, but I bought this one for completely different reasons than I had my IS300, Vette, Porsche Turbo, etc....... I just want something nice and comfy so I am actually glad it doesn't have the sport package because I am not looking for the stiffer suspension this time around. (though I'd love some sway bars and bushings)

Weasel will become famous soon enough
Don't have time to get much in to it this second as I'm off to work, but here's a link to a thread with similar door issues that may have the same root cause from the sound of it.

^^ If I had known there was a connector there I'd have already put my money on it. I found several threads in search speaking of similar issues, but none checked or mentioned that plug.

THanks a BUNCH, and thank you everyone else for the welcome.

Connector seems to pass inspection, but I'll go get a can of contact cleaner anyway just to be sure. Much like the rest of this truck the plug was showroom clean. I don't think this truck has ever seen a rainy day.

Completely forget I just said that....... On ANOTHER door, unsuspecting of any issues I found the problem. Looks like the screw was loose allowing moisture to get in.

Weasel you get 5 stars buddy.

Ran to the store, grabbed vinegar and tooth brush, came back and BAM... everything fixed

Yippie.
