YouTube - 2005 BMW X5 4.4i Strange sound from engine bay

strange sound from the engine bay, high pitched whining/whirling sound, car was warmed up for a while, check engine light was on, also a bit of a hum sound when the steering wheel turns, though that might be something else not connected to this sound. Wanted to see if anyone had any ideas toward what this may be before i go to bmw on mon.

Sounds Like waterpump or alternator

Bearing going out and since the check engine light came on it is likely the alt. (could be other pulley related issues though)
