navigation disc

I have a 2002 X5 when I bought it it didnt come with the navigation disc, I purchase one from ebay. i received it yesterday and inserted on the navigation system, it read the disc perfect yesterday and it work just fine, and today when I was driving out of no where it said to insert the disc and sinse this morning the system wont read the disc. Any ideas what could have gone wrong? please help

I've had exactly the same on non-OEM disc copies. One day they work, the next they don't. No idea why other than it seems the drives can be fussy about the disc types. Now I only use OEM discs.

You may need to update the software version you are running on your nav. Do a search on this site...there are good instructions and downloads available.
