Wonder about that too. Is it because lead-acid batt peak around 13.8V so 13.2 indicates weak alternator?

BTW guys, have any of you try to fix the just the regulaltor/rectifier circuit instead of the whole alternator, I've seen the part on eBay I think.

Take a multimeter set on DC volts and measure the voltage on the output terminals of the alternator. Should be around 13.5-14VDC. Next, measure the voltage at the jump start terminals under the hood. Should be about 13.2VDC. Lastly, measure the voltage back at the battery at the terminals with the engine running. Should be about the 13.5, maybe a little less depending on how corroded your conductors and terminals are.

Okay so i took it to the BMW dealership today and they said its the ABS module needs to be replaced. 4200$...lol

They checked the alternator and the voltage was fine.

Removed the ABS module, not very difficult, and shipped it to a rebuilder today. Should get it back by next mon or tues. For a cost of 207$ with a 3 year warranty.

I will post after i get it back installed next week.

Got the rebuilt Module today. $238, with next day air shipping.

Installed it.

All lights gone, except Service engine soon,(which is on my other vehicles also, no biggie) EDIT: AFTER A COUPLE RESTARTS THE Service Engine Soon light went away.

Drove wonderfully, restarted it several times.

Ill post in a couple days to let you know if it remains fixed....

Thanks for all the advice
