creamy sludge post oil separator change?
I'm a bit stumped here. I had my oil separator changed a few months back prior to the "real" cold weather start. Since, I've noticed: a) have some of that caramel-colored sludge in the dipstick and sometimes in the oil cap, and b) have been loosing coolant at the rate of a quart a week.
Now, all the hoses and dipstick tube were replaced with the oil separator, and there are no visible cracks or leaks in the coolant system. The upper coolant hose has been a bit more "plump" than usual, but that has been an issue or a while. I also have an oil leak from the housing gasket, but was told that that would have nothing to do with moisture in the oil.
I'm open to any insight at this point.
