Electric Seats No Longer Adjustable & Memory Doesn't Work

Its a 2002 so things starting to fall apart. Driver's seat memory no longer works and when I try to adjust forward/back or recline all it does is click and move very slight. It would take a hundred clicks to adjust between me and my wife's settings. First the memory went, then adjustment started to fade now virtually impossible to adjust seat. Is this just an electrical relay switch? Appreciate any and all help! Thanks

Thanks Mr BMW X5!

You 100% sure that's it?

Now, seats don't even move.

How big of a job to replace? Do you have instructions because I can't find in my Repair Manual.

How you getting 200K miles? I'm at 120K and everyday something breaking, I.e. Transfer case, oil reventing kit, now this. Was great car for first 100K but now getting expensive.

Thanks!

Same problem here... this morning both my steering wheel and power seat are not working (about to cross the 56,000 mile mark). So would changing the actuator (part 4 on the diagram) would work? I assume only for the power seat only, how about the steering wheel?

Thank you for the help!

The control module affects both the seats and steering wheel adjustment since it has the logic for the key memory function built in to it.
