That's what makes this country so great. We don't have to do the same thing, and no one will shoot us if we do/don't conform.
Personally, I think painting stock calipers is ricer. I wouldn't do it to my own vehicle, as it removes the stock/OEM look. One of the many reasons I purchased a BMW is it has a sporty look from the factory, and thus doesn't need cosmetic modification. |

having been this route on my e28, caliper paint is IMHO necessary/preferable with open spoke wheels.
the best option? i would order a set of remanufactured calipers on the cheap from rock auto. send them to get powdercoated or paint them yourself. swap em out with the originals and send the old ones in for credit.
