For your reference, the stock X5 setup for an 18" rim would be either an 8.5x18 with an ET 48 offset, or an 8x18 with an ET 40 offset. Tire size for both would be 255/55/R18
The rims in your description look to be the Style 93 from a 7 series, which are 8x18 with an offset of ET 24. So there is an offset difference of 16, which is not insignificant. Personally I wouldn't do it.

I think they will be an ofset in the low 20s which probably does not work on the front of your x5. This would be the equivalent of putting a 25mm spacer on your front wheel.

Just as an update.
I bought the wheels and tires. Took the new tires off the 7 series rims and put them on my original wheels. I could not buy tires for the price of these. New tires ripped off the old rims and put on the original X rims for only a total of $480. I know the tires are a little smaller than the original 255/55/18. Thanks for all the advise. |
