'04-'06 Side Mirror Light Replacement with LED's

I searched and came up with the following:

If you replace the outside mirror lights with LED's on the pre facelift X's you will need a resistor so that no code is thrown. However, on the '04-06's that may not be the case. Does anybody have any experience with this? I have the LED's and the resistor, but if I don't have to install the resistor that would be sweet.

My prefacelift didn't need resistors. I recently changed out the OEM ones for LED (non-high powered) with no trouble. I don't see why facelift models would be any different.

These are the ones I bought: WLED-x6 (194 type) Wedge Base bulbs Specifications
just regular ol' LEDs

High powered ones look like this: WLED-xHP Specifications
the "bulb" looks like a chip

I want some high powered ones though, the ones I bought aren't very bright.

We already discussed that here: http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...o-codes-4.html

In my 2002 pre-FL the LEDs did not work without a resistor.

Good luck

1 20 ohm 50W resistor will do the trick with the LEDs.
