Swap a MID w/o BC button for one which does?
(solution is on last post)
Hi all. I've got the dreaded dead pixels issue on my MID which does not have the BC option/button (just clock button) and I'm wondering if I was to buy a refurbished jobbie WITH the BC option/button on the MID, will I now have those features, OR will this MID require more wires/harnesses that my current MID does not supply/use? Also, I've tried searching this, but I'm not sure if its just a limitation to my SUV, but I have the speedo dash with text capability, BUT when I cycle through the BC button on the signal stalk, I only get three items to see. Consumption, Gas milage left and one other... Can I not see all the other features, like Timer, Aux Ventilation, Code... etc cause my current MID does not have the BC button/option? And Would I get those features IF I upgraded to the MID which does have that BC button/option?
