A few questions......

Well I just surprised my wife with a 05 X5 4.8is adn have a few questions. I am a Great BMW mechanic, I have the 04 M3 F/I pushing over 500WHP and an E36 that was SC and about to place a custom turbo kit, now since I'm not there to look at the vehicle yet and figure it out as I see it.

1. Best software out there? How much more HP and TQ? and who has it besides Dinan? Since the X5 is at Miami I was thinking in taking it to Active Auto and see if Karl can do something.

2. Best angel eye upgrade? Umnitza? Do I replace the rings or the little bulb portion on it? Is the head light like on my M3 E46 which you can separate the Glass from the headlight assembly?

3. NAV software upgrade? Who is better or what is the best. Or is there any replacement radios?Nav like the DYNAVIN - LCD DVD GPS Navigation Radio

4. I will upgrade to the DICE Iphone and IPOD conection for music etc. Is it worth it? any experiences? I have it on my M3 and no issues but on the X5................just asking.

5. Is there a way to keep or bypass the access mode (lowering vehicle while driving? My wife sent me a pic with it in access mode and looks good!!

Last but least thanks and I know I can do a search but this internet here in Afghan is slow and sucks and most of the time the pictures wont download.

no need for dice if you get a dynavin.i suggest the E39A unit.the nav software is MUCH better then the basic one i have.only issue i had with it(basic model) is the SD card and cd player not working.just stopped one day randomly. as for the angel eyes i was just looking into it.might be a future mod since the only ones i'm interested in are some expensive depo headlights. here are the links

Welcome.
Sorry thought I posted a long response earlier. I see now it didn't go through. In short: 1. Not a lot of "power adders" available for the 4.8iS besides what you listed. 2. You cannot open the headlight assemblies on '04-'06 MY, just replace angel eye bulb. 3. There are software flashes available to change appearance- the "Navigation" section would have more info. Some folks here have gotten the Dynavin- I personally think it looks cheap compared to OE. 4. I have the DICE Mediabridge so I can listen to music with bluetooth- a little buggy sometimes but far better than my old school tape adapter. 5. People here have lowered theirs either by aftermarket air controllers or swapping out for traditional struts/springs.
