Can someone please tell me what this is for?
Can someone please identify what this plastic pipe is for at the front of the engine of a 4.8is E53. Is it a breather pipe for something? any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Its a breather hose for the transfer case, its normal. Sits either to the right of the valve cover or on top of it, under the "BMW" plastic cover facing towards the middle of the motor.
