What is wrong with my x?

last week i parked my x at garage and lock the door than came inside the house. few minutes later alram went on for no reason. alram went on all night that day and killed my battery. i tried everything to stop alram but it didnt worked. since the battery was five years old, i bought new one today and replaced it. i test drived for few minutes and came back home again and locked the car. The "Alram went on again!!!!!damn!!!! I am writing this post while listening to the alram now!! help!!!

Well disconnect the battery untill you figure it out! Don't just let it keep going.

Bad hood switch.Unplug it will taking care of that problem.

Wow! The alarm will go off if you open the hood? Nice! So where is the sensor? What does it look like?

Do a search, there are some threads with pics to show you where it's located, passenger side near the hood hinge, just unplug it, common problem.

wow so there was someone who had same problem. while i drive my car, the front monitor keep on saying doow open, is that a hood sensor problem??

Did you unplug the hood sensor? Did it fix it?

Yes, it's the hood sensor that has gone bad. I'll try to find my thread.

i unplugged the hood sensor. now its been 10min past without alarm. hope this fixes it. thank you for quick post guys! ill update in next hour!!
