Last week my X5 4.8is began having strange electrical problems. The first thing that happened was that the passenger airbag light came on in the display and the overhead console. The light would be intermittent. The next thing that happened was the alarm would go off, I could reset with keyfob but would go off again once armed. The display said that a door was open even though it wasn't. I took the X5 to my local BMW mechanic and he put it on a diagnostic computer which showed the faults relating to the alarms and airbag. He reset the codes and the alarm has not gone off since but the airbag light is on again. Has anyone had these kind of electrical problems before? What should I do next?
