service engine soon light

hi everyone..need your opinions....2 weeks ago had tranny changed by bmw..everthing worked ok..4 days ago driving to work and all of a sudden ses light comes on steady cars starts to hesitate..i pull over shut it off and restart..light goes off car runs fine...brought to dealer they check and could really not find any fault...today i am driving home and the ses light starts flashing but car is running ok then it suddenly stops flashing and all is ok...that do you think..i have never had this problem before the new tranny was installed...what are your opinions...btw 2005 4.4 with 30k miles...thanks rob

On my M3 anyway, a flashing SES shows a misfire.
