MAF Mass Air Flow (hot film) tracking thread

I was searching the MAF threads hoping to find some real experiences with aftermarket sensors but mostly I found just generalizations. So this thread is an attempt to organize real experiences found using aftermarket sensors. Please post the Brand(if available), application(3.0, 4.4, etc) and your experience with the MAF.

I started with the cheapest I could find, infact its a no name.

BRAND: Unknown(allibaba express, Guangzhou Auto Parts) $47.37 shipped free by air freight, 3 days.
APPLICATION: 3.0i (BMW part#13627567451)
EXPERIENCE: Approximately 400 miles. So far codes for 171, 174, 313 have not returned and no erratic behavior exhibited. Housing very similar but sensor and screen is a different design. I have no leaks at adjuster or boots and ccv is new.

Can we leave the opinions and egos out of this thread. Just collecting data here, not making an endorsement on the use. To each his/her own.

Please update your location. 'Earth' doesn't help narrow it down much.

The reason is to understand what X5 you have. Nobody wants to come to your home. Put another way, is your X5 a US spec vehicle? And what year is it? While I understand your desire for privacy, the lack of that information makes the data you are requesting far less valuable.

You dont get it, JCL is all about control. He has to think he is in charge. Just pay closer attention to his posts. Don't be fooled, he attempted to bait me and has successfully ruined what could have been a pretty decent thread.

Not much has changed around this place since I've been gone.
Since it seems some of you cant see through the veil, I'll enlighten you. This board is hosted in the USA, in MI to be exact. So unless your from another country there is no need to post the requested info.
