Bridgestone Dueler Sport vs Michelin Diamaris

2005 X5 4.4i is in need of new tires. Any feedback on these two choices? Do not need run flats...

While I am a big fan of Michelin tires in general, I have never liked the Diamaris. I find that they have much more tramling then any other tire I have ridden on. They jerk you all over the road. I would never buy another set.

On the other hand, the Bridgestone Duelers that I have had were a very smooth ride and no tramling whatsoever.

Just my 2 cents.

I am a huuuge fan of Vredestein!! but since several of us here have been running them....we find that you chew through them within a year....that gets very expensive......with that said I moved to Dueler HP's after MRBMWX5 Tom and Justin....recommended......they look great and ride well....

What about General Tire Grabber HTS? Suppose to have a long life rubber compound (640 wear rating) and excellent all weather handling.

Had Diamaris (Non-RFT), went to Dueller Sport (Non-RFT) and will never look back. The Bridgestones are a great value for their performance.

with the mavens above...

Bought Diamaris as a 're-tire set' for my 19" 132s, and regret it.
MPG dropped, they look like they are 'designed' for cupping, down the road, etc.
Worst tire buying decision I have made in my adult life.

Get anything but Diamaris, imo.

Bridgestone Dueler HL Alenza is suppose to be a better tire than the regular Dueler HT. Designed specifically for crossover type SUVs.

Another one I've read great reviews on is the Michelin Latitude Tour.

Installed Hankook Ventus on mine. It has been 6 months now and tread wear is minimal. Very good handling last winter here in Chicago, very good grip on high speeds and lastly, barely noticable road noise. Discount Tire has em

I currently have the Ventus AS tires on my X5. Tread life is down to about 25%. The tires have horrible road noise when worn down. They also seem to have balancing issues. In the winter they were downright scary. Not impressed with them.

The wife has a set of Michelin Latitude Tour tires on her 2009 Dodge Journey AWD RT. So far they have been excellent. Very quiet and great all season performance. Very impressed with winter traction.
