http://youtu.be/nD5VMfW5I4A Is there a way to visually inspect this by just taking the valve covers off? I currently have mine off and there is a lot of gunk and build up. The chain really doesn't have a lot of play. I am half way into the valley pan replacement. I have 162k on the clock and i am really not in the position to do the chain guides just for the hell of it. Should i keep the car or should i get rid of it

I have the same exact sound (M62TU-116K) ... except I can hear it from inside the cabin... completely embarrassing and utterly annoying...
