Member jgood and I installed only a X pipe on his 2002 4.4 last night. The change is completely noticeable. IMO it's just the right amount of change. I have heard a 4.4 in a 7 series with the rear muffler delete, and it sounded like a old chevy farm truck.

I personally think a X pipe AND the rear delete, will be excessively loud.

I can tell you from experience that doing both Magnaflow mufflers and an X-pipe in my 7 sounded like A$$, so for that car the mufflers only was just right.

I have done the resnotor delete with x pipe on my4.4 and I love it. I would like the truck louder then what I get from x pipe but it just won't sound right or look right if your x sounds like box Chevy so I think x pipe is good way too go. I have some sound clips on you tube.
