I easily retrofitted BT into my 2001 E53 with the existing wiring harness and related components (antenna, microphone, etc.)

I have a 2001 4.4 with Nav 03 on it and a Motorolla timeport phone installed and everything works when I press the button on my Wheel to make call except that verizon do not want to activate the timeport any much longer it is a discontinued product.

My question is if it is possible to upgrade to iphone 4 with the system that I have in place?

The Timeport phone that you have is no longer supported by the Verizon network and will never work. You can upgrade your vehicle to support Bluetooth, which will work with the iPhone and most other phones these days. Here are the details for how I did this in my 2001 E53 - http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/all...01-bmw-x5.html
