Am I the only person in the world that doesn't like the current trend for black / dark grey wheels ?

If he likes the looks, there is no difference if he has a IS engine in it or not, its his decision. as for the wheels, I personally think that AC Schnitzer makes all their wheels same looking. Seen 22's on a X & I've seen Hartge, they do Engine tunning but the body kit looks like a crap.

No you're not alone, I don't care for the look either, especially on a black vehicle, contrast is a good thing.

U just took a stab at mrbmwx5?

Treading on thin ice my friend. Very thin ice. He's a vet here and very well respected within this community.

Btw. It might be more effort than it's worth to facelift it

+1 on this one. I have a black Corvette (C6) with gunmetal gray wheels and it looks pretty sinister. I am not a fan of black wheels on a black car, but I do like the dark gray contrast. Not a fan of chrome wheels or even polished on a black car but that's just me. I prefer a painted or powdercoated wheel.

Here is a pic of my vette for reference on color contrast that I think looks nice:

And there is even more contrast when you see it in person vs. the photo too.
