Rough idle after replacing battery
Hey guys, I was dealing with a failing battery for months...and finally decided to replace the 50# beast. Yesterday my alarm was going off intermittently at work despite attempts to disable the alarm with the key. I'm assuming it was a low voltage issue. Of course my battery was dead later. Once I jumped it, I had a rough idle all the way to autozone. Purchased the comparable OEM replacment 760 cca battery: Duralast H8-DLG. This morning, new battery. Same rough idle all the way to work (20 miles). Think this issue will resolve by itself? I'm assuming its a generic computer issue....anyone have a differential diagnosis? |

My battery died about 4 months ago. I decided to go with the OEM battery from my favorite stealership. Seems the battery has to be "married" to to X5. There is a breathing vent tube and the serial number of the battery as well as other items that need to be taken into account. Otherwise...you might have problems of which you indicate. Good luck.

Rough idle worked itself out within about 200 miles.
No "marrying" needed. Replacement from AutoZone with vent port included. |
