Hazard lights coming on at random...

I've noticed over the past couple of weeks that sometimes when I shut the X5 off the hazard lights come on. All I have to do is hit the button and they go back off. What is going on?

does anybody else drive it??? my girlfriend accidentally spilled some soda into my hazard switch and they would spiratically turn on for a couple weeks...
