Installed facelift tail lamps not working

Installed facelift clear taill lamps to replace my 7/2003 4.4i amber tail lamps. Turn signals work, but the brake lights do not. I moved oem plug circuits on passenger from pin 6 to pin 4 and drivers side from pin 1 to 3, connection seems fine since they snapped in place. I never disconnected battery, do i need to do so to reset LCM or something? Do I need to take bulbs from my old to the new lamps? Any advice...thanks. I do get a check brake lights on my display...I was getting that before anyways since one side was not working.

No need to reset!Just swap the pins ,as you correctly did.
Are your facelift lights/bulbs new or used?
The only thing you need to verify,if they are used,is that the bulb terminal is not melted and that the actual tail lights circuit board doesnt have a "hole",both of which are quite common issues with facelift tail lights.

Ok the pin swap was correct, as it turns out I had to swap bulbs from middle to bottom and MRBMWX5 helped me do some solder as part of the circuit board was broken. Also the bulb holder on one was shot, so we had to use some spare new ones i had and now its all good! Thanks TOM!
