DIY right front air suspension X-5 2005 4.4
After an incredible hassle and really poor service with UPS, I finally managed to pick up my Arnott replacement air strut for the right front wheel. The installation looks pretty straight forward, based on the DIY posts I have seen in this forum. However, I've noted in one of the posts that all wheels need to be off the ground when bleeding the air from the air suspension system - otherwise, the post stated, the air springs may be damaged. Has anyone done this repair by only lifting the car at the wheel where the strut is to be replaced without having any damage to the air springs? Thanks for any insights anyone can provide - I don't have the ability to get the whole car off the ground.
