Do you have any picture of the inside? I am curious to see how the optical circuit works for the halos.

I wonder if you could swap the internals of the facelift lamps to the preface...so we get the newer clear highbeams and projectors...

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but once you open them up, can they be disassembled enough to go through with a lens swap on the projector??

HOw did you put them back together? also you had to take off the bumper to remove them right?

If the sealant can be reused its more than likely just the opposite of taking them apart, with a bake to reseal the unit. If the old stuff can't be reused I'd clean it all out and throw some butyl from TRS in there, then bake to seal.

I think you can wiggle them out if you do not have the headlamp washers. The bumper has to be removed if you do though.

Ok thanks and ehh I have the washers. But anyways I'm slightly nervou the oven will chane te shape of some of the plastics or melt them :/

Yes, the projectors (Hella E39s) are simply mounted in with screws. As all Hella's use the same mounting holes you could for the same effort replace them with some newer ones (Hella evox-r springs to mind).

Try asking Tom (mrbmwx5) to open them for you.
