I've got the N54(twin turbo gasoline) with the similar setup of reservoir and asked my SA why BMW doesn't crimp those lines, he said it's vacuum (not positive presure) so no need for them to be crimped. well apparently sometimes they come off.

BTW, get used to this turbo setup, BMW is getting rid the I-6 NA engine and swiching to I-4 twin-turbo for x28i series on all cars on the next iteration.

I had a vacuum line come off on my 535i when it had a few hundred km on it from new.

The new petrol engines are all going to be turbocharged, but they aren't twin turbos. BMW is using a single turbo, but calling it twin-power. Marketing.

just to update

turned out to be a intercooler pipe fallen off.
feel a lil worried thou because there was oil dripping from the pipe.
should i be worried?

Some oil make it to there on all turbo cars I've owned. You can install oil catcher kit if you really worry about it but as FYI BMW will void waranty on cars with oil-catcher.

im not so worried now

My car is an 03 so im way out of my warranty,

now ive saved this money on not having to replace the turbo, i think i may do some mods
