Secondary air pump bypass?

Is there any way to bypass the pump without turning the check engine light on? New Jersey only scans the car now for inspection, and my pump is bad, and would rather bypass it since it does not affect performance.

Just replace it. Mine went bad and eventually seized causing the check
engine light to go on. If you don't change it, good chance you'll kill your cats..

The CEL is on, and the pump is shot, however, I already have aftermarket high-flow cats.
