Door window just crashed down, help

Without much warning the left rear door window fell all the way into the door while trying to raise it into a closed position. I'm guessing the regulator may have broken. We dont live near a dealer (2+ hrs). I thinking of pullin apart the door to take a look. Any helpful thoughts or advice? Thx

This happened to me last week. If you try operating the window switch and can hear the motor you should be fine. My window needed to be screwed back on with just a nut and bolt. Open your panel and have a look whether the window is Down or if the window reg stopped working
