i dunno bout the 00-03 x5's but the facelift 04 and on dont have wires for the turn signals... so thats the main hard part this mod cant be tricked or done

usually the e46 guys have a way of tricking the system many diff ways..but they use wires.. we cant use wires, our turn signals integrate with the whole headlight housing

What if we did the euro headlights system instead? Their side markers are clear. See picture below. That vehicle is from a member in Kuwait that is found elsewhere on this forum. I posted it hear to say it can be done since his vehicle is a 06 4.8is.

He said he did nothing special to his vehicle..... or that is at least what I understood from his PM. He mentioned that maybe we should use the Euro lights.

What do you guys think? Anyone have Euro lights on here that can say if the parking lights still come on?

Thanks.

cue03, I have euro clear headlights, and yes, the parking lights still come on.

I took apart my lights last night. The parking and turn signal bulb seems to vary depending on voltage. Can someone confirm this? I'm wondering if we can replace it with a single filament bulb and get the parking light delete effect.

Does anybody know how I can disable the two front corners from turning on unless I want to use my turn signal??
hey guys...this member did it a while back...we should ask him

The way I did it was by taking the headlight harness and figuring out which wire powered the angel eyes. Then I spliced them (each headlight)into a single wire that ran to the cig lighter area in the passenger side footwell. I put a switch in the cig lighter compartment, then I finished the connections from the switch to the cig lighter in the pass. side footwell.

How did you disabled the front corner lamps when the headlights are on, but yet still remained functional as turn indicators?

I think he didn't. That is additional wire from headlight to sig light with additional switch.
