logle is on a distinguished road
Thanks Phil! Appreciate the incite and pictures. Wouldn’t this issue be present in any gear, reverse and forward gears? My issue only occurs in Drive after the car has sat overnight (It reverses fine, even when cold). Then when shifted to drive it will hesitates for 10 or more seconds before engaging. After the first occurrence, it shifts fine the rest of the day. Also, wouldn’t replacing with a rebuilt Valve body with all new solenoids, including the torque converter lock up clutch solenoid, correct the issue you describe? I plan on dropping the transmission pan this weekend to confirm the type throttle body and replace the fluid/filter and will check for high metallic content. I have three sources for a rebuilt Valve body – Revmax($499), Tranzstar($650) and Europeantransmission ($425). None actually stock the valve body and I would have to supply mine so figure about a two week turn-around. Thoughts?
