In the end, I received the motor, but it wasn't good I ended up going to a junker yard and discover that they had a landrover with the folding mirrors and auto dip glass, so I remove all four of those. Put the pasanger side motor, and now I have folding mirror again. BTW I have the driver side motor and the glass if anyone needs it. I might post them in the for sale section.

Sorry to revive this thread but I might want to retrofit powerfolding mirrors to my X5 but I want to do it as cheap as possible.
I have a question: Is the regular mirror base the same as the power folding version? Looking at pictures it looks exactly the same. If they are the same, that would mean I could fit a complete motor unit to a regular X5 mirror and possibly plug in the wires or run new wires to the correct switch inside and it should work? ![]() https://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-E53-X5-...MAAOSwjgFevdOE |
