Whos got bent replica rims???

I am thinkin about painting my stock IS rims black or going with the snake tongue lookin replicas. I was wondering what the overall concensus was on the replica rims. I know the die hards are going to tell me to just freshen up my stock rims with a new coat of flat black but was really trying to get a feel for the overall longevity of these replica ones. link below. Thanks fellow Bimmer lovers.

Some people who frequently hit pothole after pothole opt for replicas. And they just keep buying replacement wheels as they break. And there are a few good sites to buy single wheels.

Not sure of how a spirited driver you are but having gone through several wheel myself replica wheels tend to be heavier than factory. My $0.02 is i try to keep it factory or original when i can.

Not all replica wheels are made the same. Some are well made while some arent. But i have yet to see any replica wheel have catastrophic failure (i.e. Split in half, that sort of thing)

i have 20" style 87 replicas for my winter set up..

i go to school in upstate NY, where the pot holes are more common than hookers in atlantic city.. I havent had any issues.. YET..

the build quality is definitely not the same, but i think the price justifies it.

Tires and suspension setup play a big role in wheel damage too.

I have replica style 87'S also and have yet to have any problems.
I live in Montreal and the roads are SH*T...... potholes eveywhere and the wheels are holding up just fine.
