Cool Who said the X is not a sport car?

Again a video. This time done in HD with a GoPro camera. All video parts are in original speed. Hope the guys do not cut the sound out.

The GOPro is a great little camera for the money. If you do another run strap it under the front license plate and the perspective is amazing on camera at higher speeds. The lower the camera on the vehicle the faster it appears to be going. I'm surprised it looked that fast on the dash of an X5 being that high up. Nice vid!!

Guys,

yes, that's me. Car is the 2002 X5 E53 3.0d chip-tuned. Was driving some semi race cars when I was young and for 13 years a fast bike - for that time. Still wanting to do the same with the DSC switched off and some drifting but still do not have the balls for that. Maybe I would have lost the drivers license on some parts of the video because sometimes I was on 140 - 150 km/h but as you see - at least I think that I always had full control.

It really was pure fun.

And looking forward for some skiing videos in winter - but will not post them here :-)
GoPro cam really rocks.

Nice! Reminds me of my last two euro delivery trips. A lot of alpine pass roads.

Great video Helmut! Wish i had roads like that around where i live! Anyways i have the 3.0d also, i ordered the speed boost re-mapper last night from bimmian and i am also looking to chip the car, did you do a software chip or is it a 3party chipmodule/box you are using?

Hi Alex,

it was not really chip tuning but remapping. Done by a local company who had the car on a power testbench.
