New member with first mod pictures - dewaffled

Hi,

I'm a long time lurker from the UK - been a member for a while since I started messing with BMW nav systems in my other cars (3x e46 330ci's, e46 M3 and e60 535d - all gone now though) and now I actually have a 4.4i sport pre-facelift with LPG.

Great forum - I have already dewaffled my headlights and have ordered a skid plate from the USofA!

I have a few questions though (which I may need to ask in the correct sub-forum) - I found these 2 empty connectors in my boot (one in the right side, 1 in the left) they are identical. What are they for?

Also, I have the Motorola V50 kit in the car - can any other phone or kit be attached in its place?

Thanks for any help. Hopefully I can be of assistance to some of you guys in the future - I'm quite handy with a spanner and ratchet set

It means that the 'waffle' looking lenses that are in the headlights are removed. Look at the picture of mine and look closesly at the headlights, then look at a standard pre-facelift headlight - the difference should be noticeable :-)

Thanks.

I don't plan to change the rims any time soon, if ever. I quite like the 4.4 wheels as they are and to change to 20's or bigger would cost more than I have to spend for the foreseeable future!

Maybe I will refurb them black or gunmetal - I have had black wheels on my last 3 cars now and I quite like the contrast and the fact that the wheels kind of disappear when they're black, its almost the opposite to showing them off.

I'm going to go for the 4.6 rear but titanium skid plate for the front. The skid plate and 4.6 front don't fit together
