Volume Controls on Steering Wheel

Probably in here somewhere but can't find it as maybe searching for the wrong key words, I've installed an after market head unit in my X5 E53 2002 and want to connect the volume controls on the steering wheel, how do I do this, which wires are they? If this info is already on here I would appreciate someone pointing me to it.

Thanks in advance
MC

You will need to have a bus decoder for your hu. The buttons link up with you light control module. And the signal is sent to the radio by the ibus.

Research Parrot(?SP) as I know they do something in the line of what you are looking to do. There are others and some on the board should be able to point you in the right direction. What type HU did you fit? (This may impact what will work.)

Thanks for the reply's, I found something on Amazon, a connect2 wire harness with stalk connector. from what I can see this should do the job. I'll let you know. it's a JVC head unit.
