Brake sensor reset

So this this is what i did. snap the two sensor wires and conect them together use electrical tape on the ends install sensor back, put the tire back on put the key into pos 2 wait a while and its done light will go off. no more annoying "check brake linings" message it the job should take u 5 min total.....and the best thing about it ....its free.

But it can cost you your rotors in the long run, the sensors are inexpensive, what was your reason for doing this?, I am curious.

About $15 for the sensor. I don't see the point of eliminating the functionality.

OP: you did too much work. Since you had black electrical tape in your hand, just put a piece of it on the dash board over the light. No more annoying light. Takes less than 5 minutes. Or just replace the sensor.

Hahaha. I agree. Makes zero sense to me. Are you saying that u didn't replace the pads and just fixed the sensor? That's retarded

no i replaced the pads i think spending $15 on the stupid sensor is "restarted" .....unless u are a woman and NEEED a sensor telling u your brake pads are wearing out.

Well, if your brake pad sensor needed replacing, it looks like you needed it. Otherwise you would have replaced the pads before you wore though the sensor.

No need for the mysogny.
