my opinion exactly. Another disadvantage of the V10, is the 'weakness' of the automatic gearbox it has. A customer of mine has had 3 gearboxes replaced in 1.5 years. It just has too much torque.

Thanks guys for the welcome.

I know what you mean about the gearbox our V10 had covered 15k and you could start to feel a rougher change

I am prepared for the X5 to be that bit slower but I am so looking forward to having the X5.

Recently bought a BMW 120d M sport now I know a lot of folks don't like the styling of the 1'er but it got me back thinking just how much I enjoy BMW's and hey presto now we have the X5

Welcome! You didn't say is your X5 a stick shift? Was the Toureg only available only as an automatic? I have not seen a diesel Toureg in the US yet, but I heard that their available here.

The X5 is automatic as was the Touareg. However you can get the Touareg in either stick shift or auto. The 3.0d diesel Touareg is not yet available in the US. Not sure about the 2.5tdi Touareg. The V10 is only available in some states

:welcome: Scottie. Your colour combo is gorgeous. Too bad we can neither get it nor the diesel here in the States.

I can never understand why BMW do that. I have a couple of Mini Cooper S's
it is the same with them you guys over the pond can get certain colour combo's that we can't and it's the same with accessories.

I notice you get far more optons on accessories for the X5 than what we do. Was looking at the info on the front page of this site.

Either that or the dealer gave me a old brochure.
